Suspension, Steering, and Wheel Alignment

This service is for cars that pull to one side, produce clunking sounds over potholes, or show uneven tyre edge wear. We inspect dampers, coil springs, ball joints, and tie rods, replacing worn components before setting front and rear wheel angles. Your vehicle tracks straight, responds predictably, and stops chewing through tyres.

Why Bring Your Car to Us

Cure wandering steering, tyre scrubbing, and knocking over road bumps

Even tyre wear across the tread

When wheels are misaligned, tyres scrape sideways down the road like a pair of shoes worn down on one heel.

Effortless straight-line stability

You will no longer need to fight the steering wheel to keep the car centred in your lane on windy roads.

Quiet, cushioned ride over bumps

Fresh rubber bushings absorb road harshness rather than passing metal-on-metal clunks into the cabin.

How Your Visit Works

  1. 1Mechanical play inspectionWe raise the car and test ball joints, anti-roll bar drop links, and wheel bearings for unwanted play using pry bars.
  2. 2Defective component renewalWe unbolt seized or degraded suspension parts, clean mating tapers, and torque new bolts to factory specifications.
  3. 3Optical alignment measurementWe attach optical alignment targets to all four wheels to check how they point relative to each other and the car centerline.
  4. 4Tie-rod adjustment and centralisationWe free up the adjustment threads, set steering toe angles, and verify the steering wheel sits completely level on straight roads.

What Local Drivers Say

★★★★★
My estate car had a metallic knock when braking over uneven surfaces. Marcus walked me under the lift, pointed to a split anti-roll bar link, and showed me the free play with a pry bar. Clear quote, finished by midday, and the front end feels tight and quiet again.
Graeme P., Bristol, GB
★★★★★
Most garages intimidate me with technical jargon. Cambervale sent a two-minute video pointing out a leaking water pump seal before touching it. I settled via bank transfer once I picked up the keys. Truly refreshing service.
Hannah W., Bath, GB
★★★★☆
Booked in for an interim service and brake disc renewal. The car was ready twenty minutes later than estimated because they cleaned the hub mating surfaces meticulously, but the honesty was well worth the brief wait.
David R., Gloucester, GB
