Why Bring Your Car to Us

Protect your engine from catastrophic internal valve damage

Avoid catastrophic engine loss

A timing belt acts like a bicycle chain connecting your pedals to the wheel; if it snaps, the pistons smash into the valves like trains meeting on a single track.

Combined water pump maintenance

Since the water pump sits behind the timing belt, replacing both together avoids paying the same labour fee twice if the pump starts leaking later.

Fresh corrosion inhibitors for your engine

Draining and renewing the coolant keeps internal aluminium waterways clean and free from rust.

How Your Visit Works

  1. 1Auxiliary belt removal and timing lockWe strip outer belt covers and use dedicated timing pins to lock the camshafts and crankshaft into exact alignment.
  2. 2Water pump and tensioner renewalWe drain engine coolant, unbolt the old water pump, clean the mounting face, and fit a new pump and tensioner pulleys.
  3. 3Toothed belt fitment and tensioningWe install the new toothed belt, set the dynamic tensioner to its indicator notch, and manually rotate the engine two full turns to double check alignment.
  4. 4Coolant vacuum fill and purgeWe refill the cooling circuit using a vacuum tool to prevent air locks and run the engine until the cooling fan cycles on.

What Local Drivers Say

★★★★★
My estate car had a metallic knock when braking over uneven surfaces. Marcus walked me under the lift, pointed to a split anti-roll bar link, and showed me the free play with a pry bar. Clear quote, finished by midday, and the front end feels tight and quiet again.
Graeme P., Bristol, GB
★★★★★
Most garages intimidate me with technical jargon. Cambervale sent a two-minute video pointing out a leaking water pump seal before touching it. I settled via bank transfer once I picked up the keys. Truly refreshing service.
Hannah W., Bath, GB
★★★★☆
Booked in for an interim service and brake disc renewal. The car was ready twenty minutes later than estimated because they cleaned the hub mating surfaces meticulously, but the honesty was well worth the brief wait.
David R., Gloucester, GB
